DICE has already published the third update for Battlefield 2042 last week, and another patch should follow in December. So far, only bugs are eliminated and balance problems. In 2022, it should finally also give new content. At the beginning of the coming year, Season 1 of the online shooter is launching, and the developer studio gives us a small view of what awaits us.
New content for Battlefield 2042
NEW MAP: A lot is not known about the next card for Battlefield 2042, which will have the name Exposure, so far. EA gave against Game spot only to protocol that she will lift map design on a completely new level. What this should mean, we can only speculate. Presumably, the developers will incorporate the feedback from the community.
Further content: In addition to the map, there should also be new specialists, weapons, vehicles and items. Most of them will be able to play over a Battle Pass. Even before the launch, DICE announced that there will be four Battle passes in the first year of Battlefield 2042, which will bring a fee-based premium passport.
New game mode: This year, the battles with a limit of 64 players are also unlocked for the current gene consoles PS5 and Xbox Series X / S. On the PS4 and Xbox One you are basically limited to the smaller matches. Since there are some negative voices from the Battlefield community in relation to the huge maps, it is certainly good if we at least have the choice. For the time being, however, there will be the option only for a certain period of time.
Incidentally, the general gaming experience will be further linked. For example, we can count on the return of the scoreboard, and more improvements for gameplay and social interactions should follow.

Battlefield 2042 is only the beginning
It will be exciting to observe how Battlefield 2042 develops in the coming months. EA just announced that one work on a Battlefield universe for which the new offshoot is only the starting signal. What the Publisher thinks exactly is currently unknown. On the one hand, there could be other games with the Battlefield name — for example, there are rumors to a hero shooter. On the other hand, we also expect productions in other media such as films and TV series.
