In Gotham Knights, the player will have access to all Gotham City, but how is this city really? Creative director of Patrick Redding and Producer Fleur Marty met with IGN in August 2020 and revealed the details about the city itself.
According to Marty, the Gotham City will have five districts scattered over several islands and connected by bridges. It is very similar to the Arkham Knight map, on which there were several districts separated by three islands. Gotham Knights sounds much larger than Arkham Knight, so we should expect that we will spend much more time in Gotham Knights, exploring the city.
Will Gotham Knights Live City?
A lively city in video games means that people go and interact with the world realistic. Arkham games found ways to keep people away from the streets, but Gotham Knights will not do this. Marty and Redding said that there will be ordinary citizens on the streets.
As you patrol only at night, the crowd will not be, but also there will be no emptiness. Player's actions and their interaction with the world will determine how the townspeople react to the character. Redding said that the entire "ecosystem" depends on how you cope with criminals and a despotic police.
Regular patrols in the interruptions between the disclosure of the mystery of the death of Batman will make citizens more favorably refer to characters.
