Ashraf Ismail, creative director of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, was recently interviewed and gave an overview of the size of the new card. According to Ismail, the map will be quite large and it will be centered on ninth century England and all the territories it encompassed. The team will also focus on the important turning point of ninth century England which helped shape Europe all these years ago. Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will be released on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, Xbox One and PC in 2020, although no precise date has been set.
"We focus on four major kingdoms of England during this period: Wessex, Northumbria, East Anglia and Mercie," said creative director Ashraf Ismail. "So for history fans, they can look for that. It is a large part of England, and inside this, you have three big cities: London, Winchester and Jorvik (now called York in modern times, but Jorvik at the time). And then we have a ton of cities and of course, we also have Norway. We are looking forward to seeing England in the ninth century created by Ubisoft for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.
“Viking age is an incredible period. Assassin’s Creed still visits hinged moments in history, "said Ashraf Ismail. "Here, we have a moment that has given shape to Europe and England that we know today... We have these incredible historical characters who have accomplished really incredible things. It’s a wartime, a time of politics, a time of alliances. In terms of bread and Assassin’s Creed butter, it's a really powerful period of time for us to dive into the history of the series and also to show a period of time that has rarely been seen. ""
