Chapter 2: The quarantine zone-all voluntary conversations

Section	Description
20 years later	Follow Tess along the street to the goal. On the right side there are a man and a woman with whom you can speak.
Behind the wall	Together with Tess you reach a restaurant. Talk to them at the exit.
Behind the wall	If you crawl through the rubble in the first spore-contaminated building, you hit a body. Talk to Tess about it.
The cargo	If Marlene joins you, you will soon get to soldiers. Go to the corpses in front of the gate after the battle at the loading area of the port and speak to Marlene.

Chapter 3: The edge districts-all voluntary conversations

Section	Description
Outside	Right from the start you can speak to Tess at the window.
Center	Enter the Gold stone Building and inspect the soldiers' corpses.
Museum (two conversations)	After the fight in the museum, you first talk to Tess at the window and then to Ellie.

Chapter 4: Bills City-All Voluntary Talks

Section	Description
The forest	In Bill's city, Ellie finds an arcade machine in the pizzeria. Talk to her there.
Case slip	Talk to Ellie in Bills Bar about the chess board on one of the seating groups.
Cemetery	In the house that you reach over the tree house, you can speak to Ellie in the children's room.
High school escape	At the end of the section you reach a garage. When Ellie is sitting in the vehicle, talk to her.

Chapter 5: Pittsburgh-all voluntary conversations

Section	Description
Alone and abandoned	After the robbery you enter a garage. Talk to Ellie on the body.
Alone and abandoned	After the garage you walk along a street, at the end of which there is a large blue bus. A body is a little further ahead on the driver's side of a car wreck. There you can speak to Ellie.
Alone and abandoned	Shortly before the military post, you can talk to Ellie about the lettering on the wall.
Alone and abandoned	After a short cutting, in which the two hide behind a taxi in front of two herself, you turn around and go to the Aaron’s shop. Ellie wants to talk about the advertising poster.
Hotel lobby	Go to the bar in the hotel and inspect the coffee machine.
Hotel lobby	After the first fight with the bandits, you reach a room with a hole in the ceiling over the balcony. Climb up and inspect the corpses in the bathtub.
Hotel lobby	At the end of the hotel you reach a large hall. Take a look at the poster with the palm trees in the corner.
Finanzviertel	Take a look at the body hanging on the tree after you have done the Hunter at the beginning of the section.

Finanzviertel | Run through the streets, and you meet the Hunter armored car. Shortly afterwards you come to a street with some hunters. Go to the tank after the fight and talk to Ellie about the lettering Death for Freedom on the wall on the right. Finanzviertel | After Ellie got the fire leaders down for you, you climb into the next area. Together, look at the goal of the Military Preparatory School. Finanzviertel | A big Dan of the Wolf-Part 2 poster, which is interested in Ellie, hangs diagonally opposite the Military Preparatory School.

Chapter 6: The suburbs-all voluntary discussions

Section	Description
Ronstadt	Run along the street and speak to Sam at the house with the red lettering.
Ronstadt	Shortly after talking to Sam, you can inspect an ice cream truck and educate Ellie about it.
Ronstadt	Searches the upper floor of the house with the Red Cross. When you return to the first floor, Ellie and Sam Darts play. After the game, raise the arrow from the stack of books.

Chapter 7: Tommy's dam-all voluntary conversations

Section	Description
Hydroelectric dam	On the way through the dam you will pass an abandoned camping tent. Climb over the tree trunk and talk to Ellie about the grave behind it.
Hydroelectric dam	Tommy leads you past horses. There you can speak to Ellie.
Hydroelectric dam	If Tommy gets in his pocket, you can trigger a voluntary conversation.
Hydroelectric dam	Tommy leads you over the site. On the bridge to the control station you can speak to the guard on the railing on the right.

Chapter 8: The University-All Voluntary Talks

Section	Description
Let's go, big horn!	Cross the university's site and jump over the first barricade. Looks to the left and speak to Ellie about the large, drawn on the wall.
Let's go, big horn!	Hold on the right at the large statue after the second barricade and talk to Ellie about Firefly graffiti.
Research tract	On the way through the research tract you come past a stack of boxes and books that Ellie ransacks. Take the clamping board that lies on the top of the boxes.

Chapter 9 Holiday resort on the lake: Quarantine zone-all voluntary conversations

Section	Description
The hunt	Towards the end of the section, together with David, you reach a hall on the run from the infected. Go up the stairs on the right and talk to David about the corpses.

Chapter 10: Bus depot-all voluntary conversations

Section	Description
Autobahn exit	Immediately after the conversation to start the chapter, you can address Ellie again.
Autobahn exit	Along the street you will pass a bus where you can speak to Ellie.
Autobahn exit	Arrived in the bus depot, Ellie sits on a bench, and you can address it.
Autobahn exit	You meet giraffes in the bus station and can stroke one of them.
Autobahn exit	After the petting insert, Ellie continues. Follow her and speak to her as she watches the giraffes.
Autobahn exit	At the end of the section you cross a place with emergency shelters. Climbing the bus and Ellie calls for you.
